Conference Hotel Information

Arrangements are proceeding well on schedule for our next NAMLS Conference
in Brazil. If you have not already noted the dates in your diary, please do
so now. The chairperson of the Local Organizing Committee just recently
informed the NAMLS Secretariat about the selection of the Conference Hotel.

NAMLS-7 CONFERENCE:
Current status of the proceedings

The Proceedings of the NAMLS-7 Conference held in Antalya, Turkey, in June
2002, are still on schedule to appear in the Journal of Radioanalytical and
Nuclear Chemistry in the first three issues of volume 259 dated respectively
January, February and March 2004.

Abstracts and full papers (where available) from the special oral session on
"Zinc in Human Nutrition and Biological Samples" have already been published
electronically on the NAMLS website.

NEW IAEA VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
OF HIGH RELEVANCE TO NAMLS

A vacancy announcement has been issued by the IAEA, Vienna, Austria, for the
position of Section Head, Nutritional and Health-related Environmental
Studies Section (P-5).

This is the position at the IAEA which, more than any other, has always been
closely associated with NAMLS. The first NAMLS Conference in 1967 (then with
a slightly different name) was initiated by the then incumbent. All
subsequent NAMLS conferences have also been organized, co-organized or
closely associated with the person holding this position.
