Merck Openings for PET Radiochemists, PET Analytical Chemist and Imaging
Physicist

Merck Research Labs in West Point, PA (~ 30 miles directly north of
Philadelphia) is expanding its PET Imaging Group and is seeking applicants
for several entry level positions including PET synthetic radiochemists, a
PET radio-analytical chemist (metabolite analysis for generating arterial
input curves) and a PET imaging physicist.   The successful candidates will
join the PET Imaging Group and participate in laboratory research as part of
project-based multidisciplinary teams focused on the development of new
approaches to the use of PET imaging as a tool in drug discovery and
development.   These teams consist of chemists, imaging physiologists, PET
modelers and other biological and computational scientists.   The group
currently has state-of-the-art PET radiochemistry facilities and imaging
instrumentation (PET, and MRI) for imaging experimental animals ranging in
size from mouse to non-human primate.   Current PET imaging equipment
includes: 2 microPET cameras (FOCUS and P4) and 2 ECAT Exact HR+ cameras.
The successful candidates will be educated to the M.S. or Ph.D. level in
chemistry or imaging physics with at least 3 years of directly relevant PET
research experience.
